North Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee

a freshly plowed field in the spring

all the shades of green are so beautiful in the spring with a little touch of white from the dogwoods

same tree with lichens from the trip to Asheville, NC in the fall

passing through Cherokee, NC on the way to the Smokies

clearing with cabins and barns as you enter the Smoky Mountain Park

It is always interesting to see the difference in the vegetation of the North Carolina side of the mountains and the Tennessee side. Spring comes to North Carolina side before the Tennessee side. Some of the trees seem to be recovering from the acid rain that has killed so many. The photos are taken toward the top of the mountains.
