Off the Grid

This house in the Navajo Nation was built off the grid by DesignBuildBLUFF, a nonprofit that is affiliated with the University of Utah's College of Architecture and Planning. The budget for the house was not to exceed $30,000.

This program was inspired by Rural Studio the program at Auburn University started by Samuel Mockbee.

The electricity for lights, small appliances, and water pumps is powered by four photovoltaic panels.
